Privacy Policy

DirectlyDrop does not upload file contents to a permanent application repository for later download. Transfer uses a WebRTC data channel, and encrypted WebRTC traffic may pass through TURN when a direct route cannot be established.

Incoming chunks may be stored temporarily in the recipient browser's Origin Private File System. The app attempts to remove the entry after download; browsers without OPFS may assemble chunks in memory.

PeerJS, STUN, or TURN providers may temporarily process IP address, browser and device information, peer identifiers, connection candidates, and error details to establish and protect the network route.

PeerJS signaling and Google, Twilio, or Metered STUN services may be used, with a configured TURN service when necessary. These providers process metadata under their own terms and privacy policies. DirectlyDrop does not inspect file contents.

The site may use browser storage for language, measurement preferences, and essential app behavior. The site's own measurement control reports only analytics_storage as granted or denied through Google Consent Mode; it does not grant advertising consent by itself.

You can reopen Cookie Preferences from the footer. Clearing browser data resets stored choices. Essential storage supports functions you explicitly request, including language and file transfer.

Google Analytics may measure site performance and Google AdSense may show ads on eligible pages. Google and its partners may process IP address, device information, page views, and consent state for delivery, measurement, security, and abuse prevention.

When AdSense ads are active, visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a Google-certified consent platform. Learn about Google's partner-site data use at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

DirectlyDrop does not maintain an account or archive containing permanent file contents. Analytics, advertising, and connection providers apply their own retention and security policies.

No internet transfer is risk free. Share room codes privately, verify recipients through another channel for sensitive files, and remove unneeded copies after transfer.
